Dear Paul,

I am new to EFT, but I see such amazing potential in it. It is truly one of the greatest self help tools that I have ever come across. As I think of the vast possibilities of this tool, I have to ask why one would need the help of an EFT therapist. Couldn’t a person simply just do it all himself/herself? If this question makes it to your site, would you please just refer to me as “Sceptical of Therapists”.

Regards,

Sceptical of Therapists

Dear Sceptical of Therapists,

I couldn’t agree with you more on the vast potential of EFT. The more I use it the more amazed I am of what it can help the mind and body accomplish. Though I do not feel that an EFT therapist is needed all of the time, I personally believe that they have an important role. Here are some of the reasons why I feel that an EFT therapist is needed at times:

You need the support of another person to reach the conclusion of your challenge because it is overwhelmingly big and you cannot handle it all on your own.

You have been working on a problem for a long time and have tapped on absolutely everything that you can think of but you are not seeing any results.

You are new to EFT and are not confident enough yet to trust your intuition all of the way.

You want to learn extra tricks in order to get even faster results.

You are so drawn into your problem that you need someone to help you look at it from the outside.

In the world we live in with all of the scam artists out there it is easy to take a dim view on anyone claiming to be a therapist, doubly so when that same therapist is offering to help you with a technique that appears so astonishingly easy to use. Though I definitely believe that you should check out any prospective therapists well, I would beg you not to lose a good ally in needy times by considering all EFT therapists to be useless.

Thank you again for sending me this question. I hope that I have answered it to your satisfaction. Should you have any further questions or responses please email me again.

Kindest of Regards,

Paul Thurman
