Frequently people assume that EFT doesn’t work when they fail to achieve results after a couple of rounds. This is largely because they’ve heard so much about what we call “The two minute miracle”. Though these fabulous results are frequently obtained in EFT, they’re not guaranteed.

Here are a 3 things to consider when you seem to not be having any progress and are tempted to believe that EFT will not work for your problem:

1. Have you had enough water?

In order to restore the body to balance there must be a sufficient amount of water in it. Dehydration stops the electricity generated by the tapping of the Acupuncture points from flowing properly. Before I start a session with a client I suggest that they have a glass of water prior tapping. A large glass is not necessary. Generally 4-6 ounces is more than enough.

2. Are you being thwarted by PR reversal?

PR reversal is when part of the energy in your body is flowing one way and part is flowing the opposite. When this happens it is absolutely impossible for results because your energy is working against itself. Although it is true that nothing can be accomplished while this reversal is in affect the good news is that there are four basic statements that solve the problem nine times out of ten.

“Even though I feel … I love and accept myself.

Even though I feel … I forgive myself for however I contributed to this.

Even though I feel … I forgive anyone else who contributed to this.

Even I feel … for the rest of my life, I love and accept myself.”

3. Are you being specific enough?

Once you get past the PR reversal it’s absolutely critical that you’re specific about your problem to get the best results. It’s easy to believe you’re being specific without actually being so. So, how can you tell if you are being specific enough? The answer is by using a simple NLP technique to make sure you’re tapping on the root of your problem. All you have to do is state your problem and then ask the question “why?” afterwards. Let me give you a brief example.

I start out by saying that I am angry.

- Why am I angry?

Because my boss yelled at me.

- Why?

Because he felt I was not making my sales quotas?

- Why does that make you mad?

Because he made me look stupid in front of my fellow workers.

- Why does it matter how you look in front of your co-workers?

It makes me feel inferior

Here is the issue to tap on. I am angry because I do not want my work colleagues to see me as inferior to them.

So the best statement would be along these lines:

Even though I am angry because my boss yelled at me in front of my fellow workers and that makes me feel inferior I completely and deeply love and respect myself.

There are other reasons why EFT appears not to work at times, but they are more rare.

Remember EFT will always work to at least a degree, so never give up!
