Dear Paul,

I like the effects of EFT, but am more frequently with people than alone. Because I am really disliking of calling attention to myself I wondered if there was a way that I could tap without making a spectacle of myself?

Jane

Hello Jane,

Thank you so much for the question. I can actually suggest three different ways to get the effects without making a scene.

The first is to tap only on the hand positions that are in the EFT manual. You would start out by thinking your set up phrases in your head as you tap on the KC point so that you are in no danger of having someone thinking that you are talking to yourself. Once you have done this tap your focus word or phrase on the thumb and finger points. Because there are only four points (since you are leaving out the Gamut Point as well) I would suggest that you go over the points twice for each round.

Another interesting technique that I stumbled across is to start by thinking your set up phrases in your head while tapping the KC point. Then you would make claws out of both of your hands and then tap them together so that the tips of the fingers are meeting on each tap. This allows you to tap on ten out of the twelve meridians simultaneously. When you do this repeat your focus word or sentence seven times.

The final way is to do it all in your head. Some people find this technique a bit overwhelming. But if you can get it to work for you it is an excellent way. You simply say your set phrases in your head and then imagine that you are tapping the acupuncture points that you normally would.

I hope these techniques will be of value to you.

Kindest of Regards,

Paul Thurman
